Frequently Asked Questions
On this page we provide answers to frequently asked questions by company car drivers.
Leasing a car
-
The Autoleasing service is provided by NF Fleet, a joint venture of Nordea Finance and Ayvens.
-
This is how you order a new vehicle
- Find out your company’s car policy
Make sure that you first contact your company’s fleet manager. Based on your company car policy, they can provide you with information on the makes and models of the cars available to you. Also check if you are entitled to a limited or full company car benefit. - Compare and test-drive cars
With our Car Benefit Calculator, you can easily calculate and compare the taxable value of a car benefit between different vehicles. Map out your driving needs and visit one of NF Fleet’s car dealer partners to test-drive the models that you are interested in. - Request for an offer
When you find a car suitable for your needs, ask a car dealership to submit an offer to NF Fleet. We will then make a leasing offer and contact you soon. - Order
We order the vehicle from the dealership. You will receive all the necessary information regarding the order and delivery of the vehicle electronically. If in line with your company car policy, we can also offer you a pre-runner vehicle, if needed, so it will still be possible for you to get around before your new vehicle is delivered. - Delivery
We will notify you immediately when your new vehicle is ready for delivery. The delivery usually takes place at the dealership. - Enjoy driving!
Your easy and flexible driving with a company car may now begin. Autoleasing Customer Care is at your service throughout the leasing period. We will remind you when it is time to have your vehicle inspected and of other important matters. Have a safe journey!

Returning a leasing vehicle
-
On the last day of your leasing contract, you will return the cleaned vehicle to an NF Fleet return location.
Here you can find detailed instructions on returning the leasing vehicle, whether it is a passenger car or a utility vehicle.
Driving your company car abroad
-
Yes, as long as the required documents and permits are in order.
If you are headed outside the Nordic countries, you need an export registration document. Export registrations can be granted for a maximum of three (3) months at a time. At the moment, we do not grant export registrations to Belarus, Ukraine or Russia.
Ask your employer for permission to take the vehicle abroad.
You always need the technical part of the registration certificate when traveling by car outside of Finland or to Åland. You can obtain the technical part of the registration certificate from Traficom’s electronic service here or from an inspection station that conducts registrations. The technical part of the registration certificate can be printed out at an inspection station for a person who is registered as the owner or holder of the vehicle. You can check the vehicle’s holder data on Traficom’s website.
If you are not registered as the second holder of the vehicle, you need a power of attorney, with which you can pick up the technical part of the registration certificate from an inspection station that conducts registrations.
You can obtain an export registration and the aforementioned power of attorney from the following address: asiakaspalvelu@nffleet.com. In the message, state your name, the registration number of your car, the travel destination, the period of travel and the delivery address of the export registration. You will then receive your export registration and a possible power of attorney by email to collect the technical section of the registration certificate. A service fee will be charged for the export registration in accordance with our service price list.
Also remember the Green Card
It is recommended to take a Green Card, i.e., a certificate of valid motor liability insurance, with you whenever you are planning to travel outside the Nordic countries by car. A Green Card is mandatory in the following countries: Albania, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Israel, Iran, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, Russia, Tunisia, Turkey and Ukraine. For the time being, Green Cards as part of NF Fleet Full Cover Insurance are not issued to Belarus, Ukraine or Russia.
If your leased vehicle is insured with NF Fleet Full Cover Insurance, you can request a Green Card by sending an email to axa@crawco.fi. Otherwise, you can order a Green Card from your own insurance company. For more information about the Green Card, please visit the Finnish Motor Insurers’ Centre website.
Please familiarize yourself with the country-specific traffic rules and other requirements before the trip, as you are responsible for ensuring that the vehicle and its use comply with country-specific laws. For more information about driving and traveling abroad, please visit the European Commission website.
Do you still have questions? Our customer service is at your disposal on weekdays at +358 (0)10 404 505.
Take the documents with you on your trip. Have a safe journey!
Electric vehicles
-
It is an environmentally friendly choice
When you choose an electric vehicle as your company car, you demonstrate sustainability. Electric vehicles are much more environmentally friendly to drive than petrol or diesel vehicles as they generate zero CO2 emissions.
It is easy
Driving an electric vehicle is becoming constantly easier as both the vehicle technology and charging networks are developing at a fast pace. Newer electric vehicles have a range of up to 600 kilometers per charge.
Benefits of electric vehicles
Full-electric vehicles have zero car tax, while the car tax on Plug-in-Hybrid vehicles is lower than that on traditional combustion engine vehicles. This lowers the monthly lease and the vehicle’s taxable value. The fuel costs for plug-in vehicles are also lower than those of traditional combustion engine vehicles, given that they are charged regularly. Some places even offer a designated lane and free parking spaces for electric vehicles.
Company car taxation
If you drive an all-electric vehicle as a company car, you will receive a EUR 170 reduction from the taxable value of the company car in 2021–2025. In addition, the taxable value of a full benefit all-electric vehicle is very close to the taxable value of a limited benefit.
Incomparable driving experience
Driving an electric vehicle is very pleasant – especially in an urban environment. The vehicle moves smoothly and almost silently. The engine of an electric vehicle provides stable traction without changing gears.
-
All-electric vehicle
An all-electric vehicle has an electric engine and runs only on electricity. An all-electric vehicle’s battery is charged via a charging plug when the vehicle is not in use.
Hybrid electric vehicle
A hybrid electric vehicle contains both an electric engine and an internal combustion engine. These allow the vehicle to be driven in an environmentally friendly manner by using electricity as well as conventional fuel. When the fuel consumption is high, the electric motor kicks in and lightens the load. A hybrid electric vehicle is filled up at a petrol station and cannot be charged with a plug. The internal combustion engine charges the battery of the electric motor, for example, when braking.
Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle
A plug-in hybrid electric vehicle contains both an electric engine and an internal combustion engine. The battery of the electric engine of a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle can be charged by using both a charging plug and the internal combustion engine. A plug-in hybrid electric vehicle can also be filled up at a petrol station.

Charging your car at work
Workplace charging equipment may belong to either the employer or to the real estate owner. Always check first with your employer if your facility already has charging equipment and what actions and payments are required to use them for charging your electric vehicle.
With a full benefit, all expenses for using the vehicle are included in the taxable value, including the charging electricity. Depending on the operator of the facility’s charging equipment, you may either use an RFID reader (this can be provided for you) or a mobile application that allows you to charge your electric vehicle and the purchases are charged directly from your company.
The charging benefit on workplace and public charging stations is also tax free for vehicle owners or drivers with limited benefit in 2021-2025. The company may still require vehicle owners or drivers with limited benefit to pay for the charging electricity, according to their consumption. Many charging stations have a possibility to insert a credit card number so that the charging electricity is charged directly from the credit card, based on the consumption. Alternatively, the invoice can be directed to the company who will then charge the driver.
Check the payment practices with your employer.
-
Charging at home
Home charging equipment is chosen based on the car model. The available models have a number of different charging standards, which means that there are different charging speeds and different connectors. It is possible to either buy or rent an electric vehicle supply device, aka a home charger. There are multiple service providers for home chargers.
At the beginning of 2021, it became possible to add a home charger with installation expenses as a taxable accessory for a new leasing vehicle order. A company can offer this benefit to their company car employees. Please make sure that you check with your employer if this benefit is in your leasing contract. In practice, a company can decide to add just the home charger or both the home charger and the installation as an accessory. They can also decide to take neither.
In case your employer accepts a home charger with the installation as an accessory, the Total Cost of Ownership must be known at the time the new vehicle is ordered. The invoice must arrive to us at the leasing company either with the vehicle invoice or via our EV charging solution providers ABC-lataus, Plugit or Virta. Charging equipment cannot be added to the leasing contract once the leasing season has started.
A leasing contract does not include the equipment’s service, repairs, updates, or the service charges by the company providing the charging equipment.
The subscriber for the home charging equipment is always the driver themself. Therefore, you must ensure the charging equipment’s suitability for your needs. Remember to confirm the suitability from your employer and your home property owner before placing the order.
If you are paying for the installation yourself, you can apply for a tax credit for the installation work.

Public charging stations
When it comes to charging solutions, NF Fleet has partnered with ABC-lataus, Plugit and Virta, who have a comprehensive public charging network in Finland. The charging network of ABC-lataus, Plugit and Virta is available to use at our Electric service, so it is easy to manage charging costs and link them to our monthly leasing invoicing.
Some other service providers include Fortum Charge & Drive, S Group, Kesko, Lidl and Parking Energy. For the time being, the charging costs of these operators cannot be linked to our leasing invoicing.
The charging prices at the public charging stations vary, depending on the operator. The price can be conducted on either a per-minute or a per-kWh basis or as a one-time payment. Shopping centers, among others, often provide free charging.
The rates for the charging service are available at the stations, on the service provider’s mobile application and on their webpage. The use of public charging stations requires downloading the mobile application for the service or an RFID tag that can be ordered from the service provider. The applications are available on App Store and Google Play. If you drive a lot, it is best to download all of the applications available from all the service providers offering EV charging. That way the charging locations and rates can easily be found, wherever you are.
Using the service requires the user’s credit card information so that the payments can be automatically charged from the credit card. The payments are directed straight to NF Fleet via the application or the RFID tag when you use ABC-lataus, Plugit or Virta services. Please always check separately with your employer if the energy fee from a public charging station can be charged to the employer and how to implement that.
In case you wish to direct your company’s charging electricity bills straight to NF Fleet, we recommend that you use our partners ABC-lataus, Plugit and Virta as your charging operators. The service is suitable for all vehicles operated and owned by NF Fleet.

Vehicle inspection and tires
-
An inspection is free of charge for Autoleasing customers, but it is your responsibility to ensure that the vehicle is inspected on time. However, we will send you an electric reminder when the inspection time is approaching.
Please ensure a timely time inspection
Please make sure that you get your leasing vehicle inspected on time. A new vehicle must be first inspected four years after the purchase. After this, a vehicle must be inspected every two years. In case a returned company car has a driving ban because it has not been inspected, we will charge a separate payment for the inspection, according to our services price list.
NF Fleet partner A-katsastus
You may inspect your leasing vehicle at any inspection station. If you choose an A-katsastus Oy location, please mention that the owner of the vehicle is NF Fleet and ask them to direct the invoice to us.
-
Autoleasing includes summer and winter tires as a standard accessory. The leasing also includes seasonal tire changes and replacing of the tires due to normal wear and tear.
NF Fleet partners are Vianor and Euromaster
You may have your company car’s tires changed at Vianor or Euromaster stations.
-
According to the new Road Traffic Act, winter tires must be used between November and March if the weather or road conditions require them. Winter tires can be either stubbed or friction tires, and the tread depth must be at least 3.0mm.
